When visitors walk through our doors, the first thing they notice is the loud laughter and bustling activity. There’s something different happening here. This isn’t a place where people with severe disabilities come to hide in silence. At the CP Center, we have a different philosophy. We teach people how to embrace the world and take advantage of its opportunities as much as possible, despite their physical or intellectual limitations.

Fun and play with a purpose
Our main emphasis is on adult learning and increasing personal competencies in a variety of areas, such as in the use of assistive technology to increase mobility, interactive communications, academic proficiency, the development of leadership skills, and vocational aptitude. Our Joy of learning model builds on individual strengths to increase capacity for independence and living a full active life in the community.

There is something happening every day at the CP Center
The Center provides a full range of activities that enrich lives in many different ways. Participants learn how to become more self-reliant in the every-day world as they interact in a dynamic community of people who face the same kind of physical challenges. This is a place where people engage their minds as well as their bodies and, in the process, gain self-confidence, make new friends - and have a lot of fun.
