CP CENTER PROGRAMS
The CP Center's programs are designed to increase the involvement of participants in their communities, expand their skills, improve their health and wellness, and promote self-advocacy and self-sufficiency. The people who participate in these programs realize success in many ways. Some continue their formal education by returning to college. Some have received state awards for their leadership and community advocacy efforts. Some have even started their own business! These programs include:

Community Involvement Towards Independence Program (CITI)
From a downtown location in Oakland, California, CITI participants learn to utilize community resources, including public transportation, the library, and post office. They also develop skills to make purchases in local stores. These activities allow participants to enhance their capacity for community integration and independent living.

Vocational Opportunity Center (VOC)
The Vocational Opportunities Center offers two programs where participants can develop employment skills and engage in paid work opportunities.

Small Business Development Center
The CP Center provides one of only two vendored self-employment training programs in the State of California, and the only program with a curriculum that teaches people with severe physical limitations how to start, structure, and run their own business. This unique, cutting-edge micro-enterprise program, called Cornerstone, guides its participants in creating a learning plan and developing a business tailored to their individual interests and goals. Cornerstone is a small business incubator that enables participants to gain hands-on business experience and provides ongoing support to sustain the entrepreneurial experience.

It provides vocational training, skill development, on the job support, and paid employment for participants who are interested in and capable of this type of work.

Computer Learning Center and Assistive Technology Program
The CP Center offers a state-of-the-art computer lab equipped with adaptive hardware and software, as well as augmentative communication devices.
