The Cerebral Palsy Center for the Bay Area is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
licensed by the California Department of Social Services and Vendored through the
Regional Center of the East Bay as an Adult Development Center. The Commission
on Accreditation for Rehabilitation Facilities granted the CP Center its highest rating
in recognition of the Center’s use of assistive technology and the staff’s expertise
in serving people with disabilities.

The CP Center specializes in helping participants become active, valued members of the community. We accomplish this by offering a broad range of programs in a nurturing learning environment that encourages self-determination and enhances the capacity for independent living.

We serve over 90 adults, age 18 to 65, with a wide range of disabilities including cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, stroke-related disabilities, multiple sclerosis, spastic quadriplegia, seizure disorders, intellectual disabilities and autism. Ninety per cent of those served have severe to moderate communication disorders and use assistive devices to facilitate mobility.

Programs operate from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.,
Monday through Friday.
